The mosques in India reflect a nice
blend of Indian and Islamic tradition of architecture. The mosque is
basically an open courtyard surrounded by a pillared verandah, crowned off
with a dome. The enclosed space provides respite from distractions from
outside. Jama Masjid, Humayun Tomb, Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Tugluquabad,
Sikandra, Bada Imambara, Chota Imambara are some thegracious mosques in
India.
